Chrissie’s Owls & Stonesfield Bird of Prey Rescue is a non-profit organisation. The group consists of a small group of people committed to the care and conservation of owls based in Witney, Oxfordshire. They provide a rescue service for injured wild owls and also captive bred owls that for one reason or another need caring for and rehoming. Chrissie’s Owls are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Their passion and mission is to help injured and sick owls and birds of prey, and wherever possible, rehabilitate them back to full health and release them back to the wild where they belong.

‘We provide owl rescue services for Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. We attend large country shows all over the country and also go to fetes and other events, give talks to groups and organisations and visit nursing homes and hospitals. We also give educational talks to schools and can provide an educational pack to be used in conjunction with our visit. We run Owl Evenings, Owl Experiences, Owl Walks and we do home visits for people who are housebound or ill.

We were very excited to get a delivery of a TLC-50 incubator from Brinsea. It was personally delivered by Emily Jones, Brinsea’s Sales Office Administrator who was off on holiday in the area. This incubator has been a godsend to my rescue. I am really very pleased with the TLC, it gives a much better environment for injured and young owls and I can monitor them better too. It came into its own when the postman bought a soaking wet baby Tawny Owl to me early one morning, putting it in the TLC instead of using a heat mat worked so much better.
